About
I am a wife, mother, homeschooler, and naturalist. Our homeschool environment is a little structured and a lot unstructured. We do use resources to make sure we are learning things on grade level (this is a carry over from when we lived in states that required testing, though where we currently live does not.) However, I’m also big on having lots of free time so that exploring the world at his own pace can happen.
This blog was set up as a way for our family and friends to see that homeschooling isn’t a horrible thing and that I do take our son’s education seriously. It also lets them know what activities we were getting into. Sometimes I venture outside that box and talk about things that are going on in the household or on topics that interest me. OK, that happens more often than “sometimes”, but this is also my creative outlet. So come along for the ride. We’re not exactly sure where we are headed, but we do get ourselves into some interesting adventures along the way.
“As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. ” ~ Henry David Thoreau
