Bugs, being sick and building bridges

The Bugs: Friend of Foe was nice.  Tyler didn’t really learn a lot, but he thought the craft was fun.

Yesterday, he was sick.  He woke up and told me he was weak, but not sick.  Not much later, he was in fact sick and sick for about half the morning.  He was also running a fever.  So we missed Building a Bug House at the library and TKD.  Of course, the day also brought the dog getting sick (luckily, outside) and one of the cats getting sick (not outside), so it was just an all around sickness day.

Yesterday was also Trent & I’s 9th Anniversary.  Yep, still in love with him after all these years.

Today we took the truck in for an oil change/tire rotation.  It didn’t take long and the dealership has their new building done so instead of being in the old employee lounge, we had very nice couches and tables to be at.   We came home and relaxed.  Now we are working on school, which has a little extra to make up from his sick day yesterday.  Tyler only missed 1 spelling word on his test.  He’s learning to write cursive Q & C today, and learning about narrative stories.  He’s also got science (reading a couple pages), Spanish, and test prep (which is supposed to help him prepare for taking tests).  His final project of the day is a creative one.  He has to figure out how to build a bridge between 2 chairs 16 inches apart using only drinking straws.  That should be fun for him.  I better go get the straws out so that they are ready for him when he’s ready to do it.
